FIRST STEPS TOWARDS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INVESTMENT AREAS IN BYTOM-BOBREK

On 29 July 2021, in the City Hall in Bytom, there was a meeting of a team of experts, set up after the signing of a letter of intent on the establishment of the Investment Development and Professional Activation Zone in Bytom-Bobrek (learn more). The team consists of the representatives of the city authorities and Koksownia Bytom Sp. z o.o.
The Deputy President Michał Bieda, the heads of the Department of Environmental Engineering and the Department of Strategy, European Funds and Investor Services, the employees of the Poviat Employment Office and the Heat Distribution Company, as well as the representatives of MMG led by Rafał Szostok, President of the Company, participated in the talks on plans to establish the Investment Development and Professional Activation Zone in Bytom. The first meeting concerned organisational matters. The experts’ task is to work out terms and conditions of cooperation, to agree on priorities and directions for action, and to establish the schedule and method of works related to the establishment and further operation of the Zone on the premises of the former Bobrek Steelworks in Bytom. The team members will meet regularly.
