Frequently asked questions

We are ready to flexibly adjust the parameters of the manufactured assortment to the needs of the market, taking into account the specific requirements of even small customers.

Coke is a type of fuel obtained in coking plants by coking, i.e. burning hard coal at a temperature of 600-1200 ° C in a special coke oven using flue gases, with limited oxygen access.

Coke is used primarily in the smelting of iron in blast furnaces in smelters, but it is also used as a high-quality fuel for heating boilers (in boiler rooms, workshops and households), as well as in metal foundries.

The raw coke oven gas consists largely of hydrogen (up to approx. 60%), methane (approx. 25%), the rest are components such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen. In addition to the listed components, there are also impurities in the gas, including benzene, hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. Processing and purification of coke oven gas is handled by a separate coke plant department, known as carbon derivatives. It is a kind of chemical factory. There, the gas is subjected to the process of ammonia removal, desulfurization and the release of benzol and other compounds. Gas tar and benzol are extremely valuable raw materials for the chemical industry, while hydrogen sulphide is used to obtain sulfur of excellent quality on site.
