A Christmas dinner for the homeless is an initiative implemented by PETRALANA Foundation as part of the Great Christmas Charity Action for five years. It was first initiated in 2018 by Tomasz Greczkowicz, the originator of many activities meant to support people affected by the homelessness crisis in Bytom.
On Thursday, December 22nd, PETRALANA Foundation organised the fifth Christmas Eve gathering for the homeless from the night shelter of the Municipal Family Assistance Center in Bytom. The meeting with the staff and residents of the facility was an opportunity for the volunteers of the PETRALANA Foundation to express Christmas wishes. The Mayor of Bytom Mariusz Wołosz, Senator of the Republic of Poland Halina Bieda, representatives of Bytom’s councillors – Joanna Stępień and Michał Misiaszek, and the Deputy Director of the Support Center Magdalena Moskwa also made wishes. As in previous years, cultural institutions in Bytom joined the coordination of the event at the homeless shelter. The musical setting was provided by the Good Culture Musicians from MDK no.2 in Bytom, and the Bytom Cultural Center supplied the sound system.
We would like to thank everyone involved in this beautiful initiative, which has already become a tradition of PETRALANA Foundation.
